6-foot-1, 170 pound Duncanville (TX) point guard Reger Dowell is no longer committed to Arizona, sources have confirmed.
Right now, it doesn't seem to be clear whether it was a straight decommitment or Dowell's scholarship offer was pulled, although some sources have speculated that Arizona took away his offer.
Dowell committed to Arizona on Aug. 25, the day he was originally offered a scholarship to the U of A.
"I just felt like that was the best move for me," Dowell told Scout.com at the time. "I just really like Arizona, after watching them the past couple of years. I just like their style of play…
"Coach Olson is a great coach and he's developed some of the best point guards in the league. I just feel like I can fit in, in that system."
We haven't had any luck reaching Dowell for comment, which further seems to validate the news that he's no longer an Arizona commit.
Arizona once again has three 2009 commitments: Abdul Gaddy, Solomon Hill and Mike Moser. Center recruit Anthony Stover is expected to make a decision soon.
