Arizona comeback falls short

The Wildcats had a second half comeback for the ages, but it just was not enough, as Oregon won 55-45 at Autzen Stadium.

The first half looked like a scrimmage of sorts, as the UA could do absolutely nothing to stop Oregon. In fact, it almost seemed like Arizona had game planned for the opposite of what the Ducks were going to do, because Oregon's players were just too open.

The Oregon offense has many facets to it, but that still is no excuse for the effort Saturday night. The middle of the field was left way too open and in reality, Arizona is lucky that the 45-17 first half deficit was not more.

The first half left Arizona fans with a feeling that there was no way that Arizona could make it a game.

That feeling changed quickly.

Arizona stormed back in the second half behind the play of Keola Antolin. While Nicolas Grigsby is a good back, Antolin just seems better at finding the hole. He is explosive and quite difficult to bring down, two things that he displayed Saturday night.

Unfortunately for the UA, the comeback fell slightly short. If Keola Antolin does not drop a fourth down pass, the UA probably wins the game. Unfortunately, that is just how football plays out sometimes.

Arizona will go into next game plenty motivated and because of that fact, this loss likely will not be completely wasted.
