Arizona head coach met Mike Stoops met with the media on Monday and talked mostly about Arizona State.

One of the biggest concerns going into each game has been the motivation of the Wildcats and Stoops feels that it will not be a problem this weekend.

"I think there are obviously extra incentives and motivation any time you play a game like this, but we are going to stay with what we have always done," he said.

"We talk about each game and the significance and what that opportunity brings to the table. I don't think our kids are going to need anything extra motivational. I think they are going to have enough motivation."

One of the main reasons he does not have to go out of his way to motivate is because the rivalry has grown strong since Stoops came to Tucson.

"The longer you are here, I think the rivalry grows and grows and gets stronger and stronger," he said. "There has obviously been a lot on the line the past two years and when you look, we have really lost two opportunities to play in the postseason in this game the last two years.

The shoe is on the other foot this year and that adds to the rivalry. That's good. I think that intensifies things."

Either way, a win will not be easy, as ASU has played strong football as of late.

"It is going to be exciting and obviously there is a lot on the line for both teams," he said. "Arizona State has done some awfully good things in the last month of the season. We look for them to do the same things they have been doing here down the last month of the season."
