Arizona basketball and football will be in Las Vegas Saturday.
The day will start with the UA taking on UNLV in basketball. The game will hopefully look a lot better than it did last season, when it was arguably one of the more boring games in recent Arizona memory.
The Wildcats likely have the advantage due in large part to the fact that the UNLV offense will likely not be able to keep up with them. Point guard Wink Adams has not been playing well at all, but he will need to do so if UNLV is going to win.
At the same time, Arizona will need a similar effort from center Jordan Hill. If Hill plays well, and there is no reason why he should not, the UA's chances go up dramatically.
Moving on to football, this is the time that Arizona fans have been waiting for. Unfortunately, there seems to be distractions of sorts, as head coach Mike Stoops has been rumored to be in discussions with Iowa State.
If Stoops wins, he will likely stay at Arizona but if not, we have to think he is gone. Either way, it is going to be a good game between two evenly matched teams.
Arizona needs to keep BYU quarterback Max Hall in check, which is very possible. If he has a bad game, there is no way BYU is going to win. If he is on and has the support of the running game, the Wildcats are in trouble.
