With one day and numerous letters of intent, the day that many have waited for is finally here. the 2009 LOI day has come and the Arizona Wildcats are expected to sign 21 players today.
Each year, Mike Stoops has looked to fill needs and once again this class does just that. Four-star linebacker Trevor Erno is the biggest name on defense.
He is expected to contribute right away and many feel that he could come in and start. Erno is a hard hitter with good speed and a player that chose the UA because he wanted to play right away, something that he will surely do.
On offense is Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde running back Daniel Jenkins. Jenkins is considered to be one of the better players in the west and could be one of the more underrated running backs in the nation.
Of course, Tucson will not just be hopping because of Signing Day, but also because it will be the day that Tucson's own Adam Hall becomes a Wildcat. Hall ended his recruitment last week and much to the delight of UA fans, signed with the Wildcats.
Expect updates throughout the day as confirmations of LOIs come in and the players speak on their special day.
