Do UA fans have March Madness?

Let's be honest, in the past several days, you haven't thought once about all of the reasons why Arizona fell flat on its face against Arizona State, collapsed down the stretch against Cal and Washington or got blown out at Washington State.

Let's be honest, in the past several days, you haven't thought once about all of the reasons why Arizona fell flat on its face against Arizona State, collapsed down the stretch against Cal and Washington or got blown out at Washington State.

Instead, you've thought about the Wildcats getting by Utah and upsetting Wake Forest in the second round, setting up a matchup with Louisville in the Sweet 16. And you probably have been thinking about the chances of Arizona beating Louisville, too.

Granted, much of that is completely unrealistic, but they don't call it March Madness for nothing. Suddenly you forget about all of your team's weaknesses and concentrate on their strengths, which allows you to believe that anything is possible.

Arizona, more likely than not, will come out uninspired against Utah, play bad defense and not make big shots down the stretch. Chase Budinger won't look like he cares, Nic Wise will miss lay-ups, Kyle Fogg will be hesitant to shoot and Zane Johnson will take two three-pointers the entire game, missing both.

Despite all that, Jordan Hill will be so good that the Wildcats only lose by a few points, but still fans go home disappointed because expectations are way above what they should be.

I could be wrong, but my scenario is probably closer to accurate than the dream scenarios of the Wildcats ever playing Louisville, let alone Wake Forest.

Or maybe I have the March Madness, and the fans are the realistic ones. We'll find out shortly.
