BELOW THE LIMIT

FIRST OF MANY
Bobby Jones made his first career start. He had a less than stellar debut. The true freshman scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds before fouling out in 21 minutes.
Doug Wrenn scored seven points in the first 3:36, but scored just four more the rest of the game. The last time Wrenn played in Tucson he scored 35 against the Cats.
GARDNER GETS IT DONE
Jason Gardner had a season high nine assists. He also had five turnovers in 26 minutes.
THANK GOODNESS FOR SALIM
In addition to his game-high 23 points, Stoudamire was 8-8 from the stripe. The Cats made just 18-of-30 free throws. Without Salim they would were a sub .500 10-22.
Of the 13 players on the Huskies' roster, 10 hail from Washington. Another, Marlon Shelton, is the son of former Seattle Supersonics forward Lionel Shelton.
