5-foot-11, 170-pound Oceanside (Calif.) defensive back J.J. Whittaker has made his decision.
The athlete has chosen Arizona over offers from San Diego State, Washington, Texas A&M, and attention from UCLA and much of the Pac-10.
Although Whittaker is considered to be a wide receiver, he brings great speed to the secondary and was able to come up with four interceptions last season.
Whittaker took an unofficial visit to Arizona last month and there was some word that he would commit soon after. However, when he did not, some thought it was an indication that he was opening things back up.
Whittaker is the seventh commit for Arizona in the 2010 class and one of the more explosive, as he boasts legitimate 4.4 speed.
