First Day Evaluations

Here is a breakdown of the action that we saw on Wednesday

With numerous players in action on Wednesday, here is a breakdown of what we saw.

James Johnson: Johnson played very well on Wednesday. He dominated the paint and had no problem getting to the line as well.

Johnson is one of the better players we have seen in the class and was great against the Las Vegas Dogcatchers. We would have liked to see his range, but there was no reason for him to show it.

Keala King: King is a very versatile player and he reminds us of Andre Igoudala. He says he is a point guard, but he seems to be a bit more of a shooting guard because his ball handling is a bit questionable.

Still, he has good vision and is able to score well, so we definitely like his potential.

Gary Franklin: Franklin has improved as a shooter but his body type still leaves something to be desired. He seems like an undersized shooting guard and it will be interesting to see how Arizona handles his recruitment.

Shabazz Muhammad: He was easily our favorite player of the day, as he did whatever he wanted. Whether it was getting in the lane or scoring off a turnover, Muhammad was easily the best player on the court.

Stephen Holt: Holt is a good floor general and is the type of guy you need to keep an eye on. he is not a scorer by any means, but is a smart player that gets the job done.

Terrence Jones: Jones deserves all of the attention he gets and is a very versatile player. he showed good range, although we would have liked to see him in the paint more.

However, he rebounded well and was strong on defense.
