It has been known for a while now that four-star Owasso (Okla.) offensive lineman Trent Spurgeon was going to choose between Arizona and Texas Tech.
On Saturday, he made his decision.
Spurgeon informed Arizona offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh that he is going to be a Wildcat.
The 21st offensive tackle in the country is a major get for the Wildcats, as it helps make one of the stronger offensive line classes in the country all that much better.
Spurgeon has been very quiet with his recruitment and many felt that Texas Tech was in the lead for a good portion of it.
However, Spurgeon visited Arizona for its football elite camp and seemed to come away extremely impressed with the experience.
After the visit, Spurgeon hinted numerous times that he was impressed with the UA and it seems that those impressions mixed with the fact that he gets along with the coaching staff, led to his final decision of wanting to go to Arizona.
Stay tuned for more information, as Arizona continues to strengthen its class.
