Arizona received a commitment Wednesday from 6-foot-3, 240-pound Sierra (Calif.) Community College linebacker Paul Vassallo.
Vassallo got in town on Tuesday for an unofficial visit and before leaving on Wednesday, decided to tell Tim Kish and Jeff Hammerschmidt that he is coming to Arizona.
Vassallo gives Arizona a player that should be able to come in and compete right away.
He originally walked on to Nevada Reno but found that it was not the right place for him and decided to go the junior college route instead.
That route got him offers from the UA and Iowa State, with Arizona easily recruiting him the hardest out of any other school.
Vassallo continues Arizona's strategy of attacking this recruiting class in terms of filling needs.
