Dotson makes decision

Arizona got a little revenge against in-state rival Arizona State by getting a commitment from Lionel Dotson, a 6-3, 235 pound defensive lineman from Houston (Texas) Dobie. Earlier in the week, former Cat commit Robert Gustavis de-committed to the Sun Devils.

"It was a tough decision because the schools were pretty equal in a lot of ways," Dotson said. "I think the main thing was I was just more comfortable at Arizona. Not that I wasn't comfortable at ASU, but there's so many players from Texas already at Arizona and I just liked how well everyone gets along there."

Dotson visited Arizona back in December and tripped to Tempe this past weekend. He was also looking at Baylor, Houston and Texas A&M but had narrowed his choices to the two Arizona schools a few weeks ago.

"I like the direction Arizona is going in," Dotson said. "They have some good young talent on the roster and I also think it looks good for me to get some early playing time. I'm very happy with my decision."
