Arizona answers critics

Arizona defeated Oregon State 37-32 on Saturday night

All week Arizona had to listen to critics due to the performance against Iowa.

Whether it was those ripping Matt Scott or the defense getting looked down upon for letting up a conversion on 3rd and 23, the Wildcats had their fair share of critics for the week.

On Saturday, however, those critics got turned upside down as Arizona's win should bring nothing but compliments.

One look at the box score and you would get the image that the Arizona defense struggled, which it did at times.

James Rodgers had eight catches for 119 yards for the Beavers. Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 85 yards and two touchdowns and also caught 13 passes for 70 yards. Sean Canfield was 31-of-47 for 303 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

However, Canfield was also sacked five times and it seemed that the Wildcats made the stops when it needs to, especially at the end when Canfield could barely find a second to throw.

In fact, for a night if not more, Oregon State likely wanted to swithc quarterbacks with Arizona.

Nick Foles played great in his first start since high school and the coaching staff knew what it had as soon as he came on the field and engineered a scoring drive.

Some quarterbacks have it and some don't and one look at Foles seems to show that he absolutely has what it takes to be the quarterback both physically and, more importantly, mentally.

Now that we know what we have with this Arizona team, this season is going to become fun. When one looks at the schedule, it is hard to come up with a game that Arizona absolutely cannot win.
