News, notes and stats: Arizona 95, Cal 80

The Wildcats played one of their first complete games of the season in their 15-point win over Cal. The Wildcats never trailed in the game and led by double figures the entire second half.

NOT SO GOOD
Due to foul trouble, Luke Walton logged just 17 minutes and failed to score. Walton remains two points shy of 1,000. He did dish out six assists which puts him at 504, sixth place in school history.

MILESTONE
Joe Shipp moved to eight place on Cal's all-time scoring list. His 21 points moved him to 1,416 passing Keith Smith and Rickie Hawthorne.

LIMITING OPPONENTS
Cal is 12-0 this season when limiting opponents to 70 points or less. They are 0-4 when their opponents score 75 or more points.

AGAINST THE BEST
Arizona is now 5-0 against ranked teams this season. Over the last three seasons the Wildcats are 23-12 against nationally-ranked opponents.

GOOD ON THE GLASS
In the last six games Jason Gardner is averaging 6.3 rebounds a game. He has led the team in scoring twice during that stretch and was the team's second leading rebounder on two other occasions.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Channing Frye recorded a double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. He also had an assist and three blocks and no turnovers.

SECOND HALF SURGE
Amit Tamir scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half. He knocked down four three-pointers in the second half. Brian Whethers scored 10 of his 16 in the second half, while Joe Shipp had 14 of his 21 in the second 20:00 of play.

AGAINST THE BEST
Cal is now 2-21 all-time against the nation's top team. They beat UCLA 85-70 in 1994 and Cincinnati 77-69 in the 1960 Final Four.
