A dominating win, move up in the rankings, and commit.
Not a bad weekend for Arizona.
6-foot-0, 180-pound Avondale (Ariz.) Westview athlete Jourdan Grandon has given his verbal to the Wildcats.
The Scout.com scouting report writes, "Athlete playing QB in high school that has a future in the secondary in college. Versatile enough to play either corner or safety.
"As a corner, lacks elite speed but his size allows him to be physical and match up with big receivers. Time as a QB could help him see the whole field as a safety and make plays."
A little over a month ago, Grandon told Beaverfootball.com, "I like the schemes Arizona runs at corner. I like the history the DB coach has...how he coaches players and how he's sent them on from college football."
Now it seems those factors have led him to Arizona.
Grandon will likely play corner, but there is a chance that he will play some safety as well. The Wildcats continue to do well in state and Grandon is definitely one of the bigger recruits the UA has landed thus far.
