Lipscomb Preview

After a terrible loss to SDSU, Arizona is set to face Lipscomb on Monday night

On Monday night, Arizona faces a Lipscomb team coming off an 80-52 loss to Cincinnati.

Lipscomb is in search for consistency and head coach Scott Sanderson is looking to make changes to the rotation in order to find it.

"A lot of guys did not play particularly well," Sanderson said. "They are not being accountable on both ends of the court. I told our bench players to be ready because some of our starters may give them the opportunity to play."

Lipscomb certainly has its share of scorers, specifically Adnan Hodzic, who is averaging 21 and 7. Guard Josh Slater follows with 15 points and the Bison are plenty capable of putting points on the board.

However, the defense has struggled with bigger teams and ones that simply have more athleticism.

In this case, Sanderson seems to be a bit worried about Arizona point guard Nic Wise.

"Wise is one of the better point guards in the country, not just scoring, though he can score," Sanderson said. "He creates shots not only for himself, but for a lot of other people.

"They do a lot of stagger screening for their shooters. They do a lot of ball screening for Wise late in a play."

Arizona has not played in nine days and is coming off a terrible loss to San Diego State.

While Lipscomb may not be the greatest team in the world, it could be exactly what the UA needs in order to get back on track.
