When Derrick Williams blocked a shot at the end of the Stanford game, Arizona was give one chance for the win.
One chance was all it needed.
Lamont Jones scored 16 points, but none were as important as his bank shot to win the game as time expired.
Arizona was able to end its losing streak with the 71-69 win at Stanford in a game that certainly tested its intensity.
It looked as if the UA could coast early, but the offense got into struggles at the exact time the Stanford offense started executing.
Towards the end of the second half, Arizona started hitting its shots and bringing the game right to Stanford, who simply could not handle it.
Derrick Williams dominated the paint, finishing with 24 points and helped the UA come out with a win despite Stanford outplaying the Wildcats in every statistical category.
