Arizona is set to face UCLA on Thursday and there has been much discussion about the chances for both teams.
The Good: Arizona is entering the game on a winning streak and has been able to come back from second half deficits. Although the deficits are obviously not a positive thing, Arizona's ability to shut down the opponent and put points on the board is.
If Alex Jacobson can provide solid minutes like he did against USC, Arizona becomes that much more dangerous for the Bruins.
In addition, Kevin Parrom is healthy and although it is unknown how much he will play, the addition should at least provide a spark to a team that frankly does not need it a ton right now.
The Bad: Ben Howland is a very good coach when he is able to prepare his team for one game. There is no focus on the future for UCLA, as the Bruins have their sights set on Arizona and considering Howland has a solid ability of breaking other teams down, it should be interesting to see Thursday's strategy.
Of course, the strategy that Howland will have will be made easier by the return of Reeves Nelson. Like Parrom, it is not know how much Nelson will play. However, he adds a nice element on offense and gives the Bruins much more of a post threat.
Derrick Williams when he starts to develop consistency in the paint.
The Ugly: There are questions about whether or not the Bruins have quit and frankly, it is hard to answer them. With reports of Malcolm Lee thinking about the NBA and UCLA fans hating Dragovic, things are rough in Westwood in terms of the mentality of the program.
It is starting to become an ugly state of affairs that Arizona fans know too well. This will all change if Howland can make a little postseason run, but it will be interesting to see Arizona plays in Los Angeles and it basically be a neutral game if not for the UA having an advantage.
