The basketball signing period will be here in no time and here is how we see the 2010 class shaking out.
Josh Selby: Selby has made no secret of the fact that he is high on the Kansas Jayhawks and, at this point, we see no reason to think otherwise.
Arizona is definitely right there in the thick of things, but Kansas has always been the school to beat. You can expect Kentucky to make a push, but it still does not change anything with Kansas. Selby can step in and be a starting guard right away in Lawrence and considering how much he likes the school, this is an easy prediction.
Doron Lamb: Lamb's recruitment is interesting, as he is rumored to have dropped Arizona and it turned out to be false.
With that being said, the UA is definitely on the outside looking in. This seems to be a battle between Kentucky and West Virginia as Arizona is trailing in third.
West Virginia has established a strong relationship with Lamb, as it has been on him for quite some time. In addition, the team has had success this season and it has definitely helped its cause with Lamb.
Kentucky is in a bit of a different situation, as it can basically guarantee Lamb a starting spot and a ton of playing time right away.
Still, we like West Virginia in this one because it is a bit closer to home in the sense that he has a better relationship with the coaches.
Prediction: West Virginia
Ray McCallum: This recruitment is down to Arizona and Detroit, although UCLA is trying its hardest to get involved and anything can happen.
McCallum has been respectful in his recruitment, but it has always been difficult to turn his father down. If McCallum's father is going to be at Detroit for a while, it is hard to imagine a 17-year old kid saying no to the man that taught him how to play the game.
If there is one school he could do that for, however, it would be Arizona. McCallum Sr. and Sean Miller have a good relationship and there is a ton of trust there.
Arizona would take care of McCallum while also allowing him to come in and likely start right away at point guard.
Kadeem Jack: Jack has announced his decision date for later in the month and that puts Arizona in great shape. Connecticut is in good shape as well because it has recruited him for a while and Jack continually mentions the Huskies.
However, Jack has visited Arizona and made no secret of the fact that he likes what the UA has to offer, which is close to 30 minutes per game right away.
