Camp latest coach to leave

Arizona's coaching carousel continues. The UA, which had previously replaced two coaches and was actively searching for a new defensive coordinator, now must find two new coaches. Rob Ianello and Charlie Camp have left Arizona for other opportunites.

Ianello, the Wildcat receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, became the tight ends coach at Wisconsin this past weekend. Ianello coached at Wisconsin in the early 90s.

"I am thrilled to have Rob return to Wisconsin," Badger head coach Barry Alvarez said. "He was a member of our original staff here in 1990 and helped us build our program from the beginning. In addition to being a strong recruiter, he developed into a fine football coach. I'm very pleased to have him re-join us."

Ianello was the on-campus recruiting coordinator at Wisconsin from 1990-91 and the recruiting coordinator from 1992-93. It was during those years that Wisconsin built its 1994 Rose Bowl champion.

Ianello's wife Denise is an assistant coach on the Wildcat women's basketball team and is expected to apply for the vacant Badger head coaching job.

Camp has resigned to become the linebackers coach on Mike Riley's Oregon State staff. Camp was the defensive ends coach at Arizona last season after coaching linebackers at San Diego State previously. Camp played linebacker for the Wildcats under Dick Tomey.

The Cats begin spring practice later this week.
