Arizona softball was able to win both of its game Saturday, while baseball was not as lucky.
Softball started with a 4-3 victory over Washington as described in a previous article and then defeated Hawaii 5-1 to stay alive.
Kenzie Fowler was the story of the day, as she shut down Hawaii's potent offense by striking out 13 batters.
Brittany Lastrapes had three singles and scored twice, K'Lee Arredondo had an RBI double as the Wildcats also scored three unearned runs.
Arizona now gets a rematch with Tennessee and will have to do something it was unable to do in the first game to stay alive in the postseason yet again.
For the baseball team, three runs off heralded pitcher Matt Purke may seem like a lot, but not when the UA pitching gave up 11 of its own.
Arizona got down 6-1 due to numerous homeruns by TCU and was able to cut the lead to 8-5 in the eighth before allowing three more in the last inning.
Arizona will now face Baylor in an elimination game with the winner having to defeat TCU twice.
