Arizona found itself in the position it was waiting for all game.
After a homer by K'Lee Arredondo and Stacie Chambers, Arizona took a 5-4 lead into the final frame and already had two outs.
Unfortunately, a fielding mistake cost Arizona the win.
UCLA hit a ball into left center and Arizona allowed it to drop, giving the Bruins a double. A few batters later, the score was tied at five and Kenzie Fowler would have to pitch even longer.
However, not too much longer, as Megan Langenfeld hit a home run and the Bruins won 6-5.
Arizona now needs to win on Tuesday to stay alive in the postseason.
