Recruiting Tidbits

There is some news with Arizona football. Click inside for some tidbits.

There is a little bit of recruiting news this week and we are going to run it all down.

*Cyrus Hobbi looks as if he may not drag out a decision.

Hobbi will visit a few more schools and it is possible that he will make a decision before the summer ends.

At this point, Arizona is going to need to make a major move to be in the picture more. Arizona State is definitely the team to beat in-state unless the Wildcats can convince him to reconsider.

*David Richards has Arizona in his top three, but we hear that the Wildcats lead.

Arizona was the first school to offer Richards and that is something that he holds close. He is intent on taking his official visits, but Arizona is hoping that changes.

The Wildcats would not feel better or worse with the visit situation, but feel it is in a position to get a possible commitment sooner than later.

*Tony Durkin has dropped Arizona from consideration, which is no surprise.

Durkin was likely always headed to the Big 10 and that definitely seems to be the case now.

Arizona will continue to recruit him, but Durkin seems to be close to a decision and it is likely a moot point.

*Arizona is done at running back and linebacker. Unless a major player comes up favoring Arizona it is going to be difficult, if not impossible, to take another player at these positions.

*Arizona feels as if Hank Hobson is very underrated. Sources say that he could be a Spencer Larsen clone and it would not be a surprise to see him emerge as one of the better players in the class.
