The University of Arizona has numerous benefits going for it, including Sean Miller, a successful history, and more.
One thing that may be a little understated is how the quality of basketball is improving in the state as a whole.
By now you have all heard about Jahii Carson and Nick Johnson. Both players are among the best in the country at their position.
Whether people focus on it or not, the UA is helped by the fact that these guys are Arizona basketball players.
Leaving home is never easy and both Carson and Johnson grew up familiar with Lute Olson and the UA program, something that Miller is surely going to use to his advantage.
Another player to keep an eye on is Phoenix Westwind Academy shooting guard Demarquise Johnson. Johnson already has an offer from Arizona State and the general belief is that once he makes himself known this summer, more offers will be coming.
Should the UA choose to get involved, it is likely going to have a good chance. The reason schools like UCLA do well is because they often keep the best talent at home.
This is something that Miller is going to have to focus on as the quality of basketball in Arizona improves.
The good thing is that Miller is completely aware of this and as the talent increase, recruiting in the state is going to get more interesting as the rivalry between ASU and the UA intensifies.
