Desert Duel Awards

Here are a few awards for Tuesday's first day of the tournament.

Best effort: Jahii Carson tried as hard as he could, but simply did not have the help.

We admire the effort we saw from him on Tuesday, as it seemed he was doing it by himself at times.

Best shooter: Anrio Adams simply has a good touch.

He missed some shots, but he is fun to watch shoot the basketball and has a good rhythm every time he does so.
<>br> Best defender: Quinn Cook was unreal defensively on Tuesday.

He shut down any player he faced on Mac Irvin and took it as his personal responsibility.

Best prospect: Amile Jefferson would likely be a top 25 player in 2011, so he is certainly one for 2012.

Jefferson can do everything and UA almost has to recruit him after his performance in front of Sean Miller.
