The Wildcats have the strategy to land a QB in every class and it seems the UA has come up with its main target for 2012.
Arizona has offered local quarterback Connor Brewer, who tells Jason Jewell of Scout.com that he is excited by the offer.
"Coach Scelfo, the QB coach, called Coach Ragle and said they knew after watching passing league at NAU that I was the guy they wanted in the 2012 class," Brewer said.
"The coaches like my decision making and quick release. To be offered by the in-state schools is a dream come true. It's convenient for my whole family and also the fact they are one of the best teams in the country is a big plus. To potentially work with Coach Scelfo is a huge honor from all that he has achieved."
The general belief is that UCLA is the school to beat, but there is a while remaining in the recruitment and it should be interesting to see how it plays out.
