Scrimmage thoughts: Offense

Arizona's offense was spectacular on Saturday and here are some thoughts.

  • Nick Foles may not have played, but the quarterbacks looked great.

Matt Scott was extremely vocal almost to the point where it became too much.

However, he made great decisions and was able to lead the offense each time he came in. If Scott could ever carry that to a real game, Arizona would feel fine if something was to happen to Foles.

  • David Douglas looked fantastic as well. He has been moved to the outside and is probably the best receiver on the team right now.

Douglas has great hands and we projects him as the type of receiver that can make about five catches a game while going short and long as well.

  • The offensive line was solid in pass blocking but the run game did not do much.

It is always difficult to tell if that is because the defense or the offense, but there were not many major holes for the running backs to get through.

  • We love what Tyler Slavin brings to the table and feel he is too good to redshirt.

Slavin made two great catches and is a big, athletic receiver, something a team truly can never get enough of.
