Alabama defensive back to visit ASU

Alabama athlete Kivon Coman is planning on taking a visit to Jonesboro on July 21st. The talented defensive back has three offers on the table, one of those being from the Red Wolves. Go "Inside" to see what Coman had to say about ASU.

For one Alabama athlete he is very pleased that he already has three offers in hand.

Florence HS defender Kivon Coman already has three offers in hand and after several visits and camps this summer, more may be on the way.

One of those three offers is one from the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Red Wolves new Head Coach Hugh Freeze is making ASU a household name with prospects around the region. Freeze is aggressively recruiting, issuing over 100 offers to some of the best players in the area.

According to Coman, he likes the way Arkansas State is recruiting him.

"I'm planning on taking a visit there on July 21st," Coman said. "They want me really bad, they are telling me I'm on top of their recruiting board and that they need me."

Coman, a defensive back or safety at the next level, holds offers from Arkansas State, South Florida and South Alabama.

"I'm looking forward to my trip to Jonesboro," Coman said. "I want to check things out and see what all the excitement is all about."

Coach Chris Kiffin is Coman's recruiting coach, it appears the two are developing a good relationship.

"Coach Kiffin has been telling me how nice everything is in Jonesboro," Coman said. "I have heard that the new coaching staff is building something special there. Coach Kiffin is easy to talk to. He has a lot of experience, I know his older brother is the head coach at USC and his dad coached in the NFL a lot of years."
