Arkansas State will be getting another unofficial visitor on Wednesday.
"I camped there last month," Robison said. "I didn't get a chance to meet the new defensive coordinator Dave Womack so I'm going back to visit with the coaches."
Robison, the son of Lanier Robison who played for Arkansas State, grew up going to a lot of games at ASU.
"I grew up watching this team a lot," Robison said. "It's a fun school, I like it a lot. It's like home to me."
New defensive line coach Chris Kiffin has made an impression on the younger Robison.
"He is a great coach," Robison said. "He's really a cool guy and very smart when it comes to coaching the defensive line."
Hugh Freeze made sure that Arkansas State was Robison first offer, something the talented defender will remember.
"Getting that first offer is always special," Robison said. "It was awesome."
Robison knew of Coach (Hugh) Freeze from his days of coaching at Briarcrest Christian.
"I really like him a lot," Robison said. "He is a great coach."
Does Arkansas State have an advantage with Robison?
"They may have a little advantage," Robison said. "With me growing up going to games there. It's close to home. Overall everyone is fairly even."
