Football season officially gets underway at Arkansas State University this morning when the Red Wolves take the practice field for the first time this fall under new head coach Hugh Freeze.
Freeze and his staff have already secured eight commitments in recruiting so far, reaching to prospects all over a five state area.
Expect a lot of high school athletes to visit the campus during fall camp to get a first hand look at the team and a chance to see the Red Wolves coaching staff in action.
One Tennessee HS prospect recently confirmed with AStateNation that he will indeed be on campus this Saturday to take in a full day at Jonesboro.
"I camp there this summer, I really loved it there," Foster said. "We will spend all day Saturday, getting to know the coaches, the players and seeing the campus up close."
Foster, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound athlete, attended a camp earlier this summer at ASU and turned in some impressive numbers.
"I ran a 4.4 and a 4.5 for the coaches while I was there," Foster said. "They were very impressed."
Foster so far has offers from Arkansas State and Middle Tennessee. He appears to definitely have interest in the Red Wolves.
"I like Arkansas State a lot," Foster said. "I really feel honored to have an offer from them. I definitely have a lot of interest in their program."
