Birginske commits to Arkansas State

AStateNation.com first introduced you to Russellville's Derek Birginske last month, with the talented pitcher and outfielder naming ASU has his favorite.

Birginske recently made his decision to become a Red Wolf Baseball player.

"Coach Tommy Raffo is a great coach and I really feel at home at Arkansas State," Birginske said in an earlier interview.

Birginske, a 6-foot-0, 210 pound pitcher and outfielder, also has offers to UCA, UALR, Dallas Baptist and Arkansas State.

The talented athlete was impressed with Jonesboro when he took a visit to the ASU campus.

"I thought the campus was really nice," Birginske said. "I thought it was sweet."

Other things impressed the Russellville Baseball player included a couple things on the ASU campus.

"I liked the Red Wolf Center a lot," Birginske said. "I liked the fact that there was a church located on campus that I could attend."
