One Texas prospect is hearing more from a Arkansas school than he is from anyone else.
The Red Wolves of Jonesboro is making a lot of noise in the recruiting and football world, it's new Head Coach Hugh Freeze is Michael Oher's former high school coach, the one portrayed in the favorite football movie the "Blindside".
According to Barlow, he thinks it's pretty neat that he could possibly end up being coached by the same guy.
"Coach Freeze told me that he was Oher's real coach," Barlow said. "I think it's pretty cool, would be great to be coached by him too."
The Texas defender says he is being recruited the hardest by the Red Wolves.
"They called me about 15 minutes ago," Barlow said. "They are keeping up with my season and I'm keeping up on how they are playing."
Barlow has been impressed on how he is being recruited by Arkansas State.
"I get so many hand written letters and notes from all the coaching staff, not just one of them," Barlow said. "They tell me how much they need me on their team. They said they wished I was there now."
Barlow will definitely take an official visit to Jonesboro and is thinking about taking an unofficial visit and take in a football game if possible.
Barlow is having a good senior season, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound athlete missed two games with an injury but returned last week with a great game. He had 16 tackles and interception upon his return.
Barlow plays free safety and corner for his high school team, he is being recruited by ASU as a corner according to the Texas athlete.
Other schools recruiting Barlow include North Texas and Central Arkansas.
