Worsham was a selection to the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star game.
"Raeford is a 6-4 rangy athlete that will be a very good player for us here at Arkansas State," said Brady. "He is an excellent defender, will play well within our system and I am excited about the overall game Raeford possesses.
Kelvin Downs is a 6-8, 215 pound forward and comes to A-State after playing at Arlington Seguin High School in Arlington, Texas for head coach Bobby Thigpen. "Kelvin is a versatile forward who plays as well facing the basket as he does with his back to it. He is a consistent face up shooter to 18 feet and will present a difficult match-up for the opposing team," commented Brady. "His game fits perfectly with what we do offensively and also fills an immediate need on our team as it relates to size and depth."
Kristopher Brown is a 6-7, 230-pound forward and comes to ASU from Richland High School in Richland Hills, Texas where he played under Richard Bacon. Brown averaged 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as a junior at Richland Hills. Brown also earned All-Conference, All-Region and All-Area as a junior leading his team to conference and sectional championships.
"Kris fills a need for our team next year as a power forward that is not limited in playing just at the basket," added Brady. "His ability to make the 15-17 foot shot adds a dimension to his game that will make him more difficult to defend. He is a physical player with a work ethic to match. We are excited about Kris choosing Arkansas State."
The Red Wolves open the 2011-12 season Friday at Lamar.
