They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

If that holds true then the photo of Hugh Freeze during his press conference Saturday night after his team just completed an undefeated run through the Sun Belt Conference speaks volumes and worth 10,000 words on what may be taking place in Freeze's life.

The first year had coach finished a 10-2 and 8-0 Sun Belt record and had multiple reasons why to be happy and why he should rejoice and be happy with his Arkansas State Football team.

Instead Freeze became emotional when local media and members of the Ole Miss media began asking questions about his future at Arkansas State.

Freeze is known for being genuinely honest in his interviews, never being rattled, you could tell things were getting to him a little.

He admitted that the coaching rumors surrounding him were a distraction, but not to his team but to him this week.

"I told our team that it was a compliment to them and their success on the football field that I was getting considered for these jobs," Freeze said. "I really think our kids handled it well. I was probably worse than they were. I was so paranoid that we wouldn't be prepared for the game, but I'm always that way about an opponent. It was a distraction in my eyes."

Speaking of eyes, Freeze's eyes in this picture show the inter turmoil that he appears to be having on making a decision about his coaching future.

"Dr (Dean) Lee and I will get together as soon as tonight or tomorrow to discuss our future here," Freeze said. "I can tell you this, Jonesboro has been very, very good to me and my family. My kids love it here and that's important to me. I can also be myself here and that's important. We are praying through this as a family. This is a tough business. There are so many great people here that we love, there a lot of people's hearts and emotions are involved in my future decisions."

There has been a lot of speculation that most schools that have an opening are looking in Freeze's direction.

"Right now I'm not sure how many options that we may have," Freeze said. "We will work through some of that Sunday. My wife and I have to decide what's God's will is for the Freeze Family."

It was reported in a Memphis newspaper recently that Freeze reached out two to three weeks ago to Archie Manning, sending a text that was received by someone else. Freeze was asked if he indeed make that text.

"I can promise you that I didn't send that text," Freeze said. "It probably came from a 731 area code and I probably know who sent it, but it wasn't me that sent it."

Freeze then hesitated and made this statement about Ole Miss.

"Obviously that's home to me." he said with his voice trailing and his emotions showing.

One reporter asked him point blank Do you believe you will coach another game at Arkansas State.

Freeze's response. "Again that is something that Dr Lee and I will sit down and talk about. What's out there and is it a good fit for the Freeze Family."

Will Freeze be announced as the Head Coach of Ole Miss on Monday or this week?

While he may be the Rebel's next head coach, one thing is certain this situation and ride is far from over.
