Mississippi athlete talks about commitment

One Mississippi athlete has been a long time commitment to Arkansas State. He committed to one coach, how does Quintavius Burdette feel about the new ones? Go "Inside" to find out what Burdette had to say about his pledge to the Red Wolves.

One Arkansas State committed to the school because of one coach, he is remaining a Red Wolf because of other new coaches.

Senatobia Mississippi athlete Quintavius Burdette was excited about playing for a coach from his home town. While Hugh Freeze has since moved to Ole Miss, Burdette told AStateNation.com Wednesday night that he still plans on going to ASU.

"I have spoken to the new coaches on a couple of occasions," Burdette said. "One came by and visited me. They wanted me to know that they still wanted me at Arkansas State."

Burdette will take an official visit to Jonesboro on January 20-21.

"I hope to get to know Coach (Gus) Malzahn a lot better, I'm looking forward to my visit," Burdette said. "They are trying to keep most of the commitments in this class, they told me everything was going to be in good shape there."

How does Burdette feel about his commitment to ASU?

"I'm very committed about being a Red Wolf," Burdette said. "I'm excited about playing football in Jonesboro."

Burdette is a two star athlete that played running back for his high school. He is listed as a 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete.
