This past weekend was just the icing on the cake for one Texas High School prospect that is already committed to Arkansas State.
Sulphur Springs running back Kendrick Daniels had seen the ASU campus on several occasions, he took the opportunity this past weekend on his official visit to get to know Gus Malzahn and his new coaching staff.
"I had a great time on my visit, I can't wait to get here," Daniels told AStateNation.com Sunday morning. "I like Coach Malzahn a lot. I love his offense and think I will be great in it."
Daniels, a 5-foot-7 150-pound speedster, is currently ranked a 3 star prospect by Scout.com and the number 87th running back in the nation.
According to Daniels, the Red Wolves Coaching Staff has a plan for Daniels once he arrives on campus this summer.
"They showed me their offensive system, they gave me a run down of how they would utilize my talents," Daniels said. "I really like all my offensive coaches, they are easy to talk to. They are excited I'm going to be a Red Wolf, I think we are going to do great things here."
Daniels was also impressed with the ASU campus.
"I got a chance to see it all on this trip," Daniels said. "I like the size of the town, it reminds me of home. I feel in love with Arkansas State several months ago."
