Some say that the third time is the charm.
For one Alabama athlete made is third trip to Jonesboro this past weekend to take his official visit to ASU.
Trussville native John Youngblood learned more on this trip than he did the previous two.
"I finally got a chance to see the entire campus, it's great," Youngblood told AStateNation.com. "I got to see more of Jonesboro, I was surprised how big Jonesboro is."
Youngblood will take another official visit this next weekend to University of Central Florida before making a final decision where he will play his collegiate career at.
Another thing that impressed the talented defensive end was Coach Gus Malzahn and the coaching staff he has assembled so far.
"Coach Malzahn has a great vision and plan for Arkansas State," Youngblood said. "He has hired some great coaches and they all seem to be men of high character. I like that a lot."
Youngblood, who was being recruited by the previous staff, feels that the teams 10-3 record this past season will be a solid foundation for Malzahn to build his program on.
"I kept with them all season," Youngblood said. "They were a really good team. I feel that Malzahn will keep them winning, going for 10 win seasons every year."
Youngblood is a 6-foot-4. 230-pound and is currently ranked a two star by Scout.com.
