Everyone knows that Gus Malzahn is an offensive genius.
Now Malzahn has proven he can recruit with the best of them. In perhaps the most impressive day in recruiting in Arkansas State history, Malzahn received 11 out of 15 pledges, with some key help coming in some key areas of need.
He and his staff hit the trifecta this morning when the Blinn Junior College athletes pulled the trigger and became Red Wolves.
Porter, a three star linebacker has a very impressive offer sheet, including Iowa State where he was a previous commitment until this weekend.
He signed with Texas A&M out of high school and ended this season with 58 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception. He is noted by Scout.com as one of the top junior college linebackers in the country.
"I had a great time," Porter told AStateNation.com. "It just feels right. I really like the new coaching staff. I'm very excited about being a Red Wolf."
"It's was a lot better than I ever expected it to be," Hayes said. "I had a great visit, I wanted to be a part of what Coach Malzahn is building in Jonesboro."
Gandy a 6-foot-0, 250-pound defensive tackle was very excited to receive his first official offer.
"The coaching staff is incredible," Gandy said. "I got a chance to get to know my future defensive line coach. He really seems very knowledgeable."
