Senatobia Mississippi's Quintavius Burdette learned a few new things about the Red Wolves and Jonesboro in general.

"I had a great time," Burdette told AStateNation.com. "It was new and exciting for me. I didn't know Jonesboro had this many things to do."

During his visit the talented athlete got a chance to get to know some of the current Red Wolf football team members.

"A great bunch of guys," Burdette said. "They look after you, it's like a big family."

Burdette, who played quarterback and running back for his high school team, explained that Arkansas State is recruiting him as an athlete.

"That's exciting for me to be able to play a lot of different positions," Burdette said. "I'm good with that."

Burdette was impressed with Gus Malzahn and his coaching staff.

"You can tell they are really good coaches," Burdette said. "I got to know them a whole lot better this weekend."

Burdette says he is still very solid on his commitment to the Red Wolves, he will take one more official visit this coming weekend to Ole Miss.
