One Arkansas High School prospect recently attended Arkansas State University's Spring game and Junior Day and left very impressed.
Lake Hamilton offensive lineman Trey Martin took the trip to Jonesboro to check out the Red Wolves under the direction of new Head Football Coach Gus Malzahn.
"I thought the team looked very good," Martin told AStateNation.com. "I loved their up tempo offense. I have a couple of friends on the team, Kenny Raines and Phillip Butterfield and they are very excited about the future of the program under Malzahn."
Martin, a 6-Foot-3, 280-pound offensive lineman, has made the trip to Arkansas State on several occasions.
"I have been there several times," Martin said. "I have always loved it there. I love the complex, the locker room and everything about ASU."
Martin was impressed when he heard that Arkansas State had hired Malzahn to be the head coach at Arkansas State.
"I thought wow," when I first heard it," Martin said. "I knew he was from Arkansas. I think Malzahn will take them to the next level at Arkansas State."
Martin is currently holding one offer, from Sun Belt opponent Louisiana Monroe.
