Arkansas State Big Wolf Junior Day continues to prove that Gus Malzahn is proving to recruit the state of Arkansas like never before.

Malzahn and his coaching staff brought in some of their top prospects this past Saturday so those athletes could get to know the Red Wolf Coaching staff better and on a different level.

Bentonville linebacker Garrett Kaufman recently picked up an offer from ASU in the past couple of weeks and made his way to Jonesboro to get to know Malzahn a little bit better.

"It was great," Kaufman told AStateNation.com. "It was like no other Junior Day I have been to."

Kaufman admitted that he was a little surprised by his visit.

"Jonesboro has grown as a city," Kaufman said. "I loved it, I was surprised the campus surprised me also."

The talented defender was also impressed with the closeness of the ASU Coaching staff.

"It showed me that ASU is more like a family," Kaufman said. "I love this coaching staff, how they seem tight as a family, that's important to me."

Kaufman is a 6-foot-1, 225 pound linebacker that plays both offense and defense for his high school team.
