One Texas athlete recently picked up an offer from Arkansas State the same day his best friend committed to the Red Wolves.

Cedar Hill High School wide receiver Brandon Harris confirmed with AStateNation he indeed got an offer this week from ASU and that he definitely has interest in playing at the "Next Level" with his friend and quarterback Damion Hobbs.

"I thought it was a great offer," Harris said Wednesday. "Damion and I are really good friends, we are close. Yeah it would be great to play college football with him."

Harris is unlike his friend and teammate Hobbs, he hasn't had a chance to visit Arkansas State yet.

"I hope to go up there sometime this summer," Harris said. "I plan on taking a visit to Iowa State in the next couple of weeks."?

Harris, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound athlete, recently ran a 4.42 forty at a camp in Texas according to his High School Head Football Coach Joey McGuire.

"Harris is a great athlete and going to be a great wide out at the next level," Coach McGuire said. "He also is a great young man and comes from a great family. It would be great if Damion and Brandon went to the same school."

Harris currently has offers from Arkansas State, Iowa State, UTEP and New Mexico State. Does he have an early favorite?

"I would have to say Arkansas State and Iowa State," Harris said. "I want to learn more about each campus, coaching staff and their players before making a decision."
