One current Arkansas State commitment got the chance to see first hand the difference in intensity that takes place in the Gus Malzahn high tempo offense.

Conway athlete and wide out Brandon Cox got the chance to see what it would be like to be coached by Malzahn's coaching staff, while also getting the opportunity to meet some of his future teammates at ASU's last Senior Camp last Sunday.

"It was a very fast paced camp," Cox told AStateNation.com. "There was a high level of competition there. We were serious about competing against one another while having fun at the same time."

Cox explained why he chose Arkansas State earlier this summer and committed to the Red Wolves.

"Arkansas State is the right fit for me," Cox said. "Their offense is awesome and I fit very well in it."

Cox also got a chance to meet some of his future teammates.

"I already knew Drew because he is from Arkansas," Cox admitted. "Logan Cart, thats one big dude. Damion Hobbs is going to be a great quarterback for Arkansas State, I got the chance to watch his highlight tape, it's going to be great playing on the same team with those guys."

Cox is beginning to realize that there is going to be a difference in the style of play from high school to college.

"You could tell from this camp the ASU coaches expectation of going very, very fast," Cox said. "The tempo and speed of the game is definitely going to be different."
