Big News for AStateNation Sports Radio

AStateNation.com is proud to announce that AStateNation Sports Radio show will have a new home beginning August 20, 2012. AStateNation Sports Radio is changing stations and will be on Bobby Caldwell's EAB Network and the Flag Ship Station of Arkansas State University. AStateNation Radio will be on the same time from 11-1 p.m. daily Monday-Friday on 970 AM and 95.3 FM instead of 103.9.

AStateNation Sports Radio is changing stations and will be on Bobby Caldwell's EAB Network and the Flag Ship Station of Arkansas State University. AStateNation Radio will be on the same time from 11-1 p.m. daily Monday-Friday on 970 AM and 95.3 FM instead of 103.9.

"It's a huge honor to be a part of the ASU Radio Network," AStateNation Publisher James Bryant said. "It will definitely help make AStateNation.com a household name with all Red Wolf Fans. I'm very excited about what the future holds and happy to be a part of the East Arkansas Broadcasters team."

Bryant is the Publisher of AStateNation.com, one of the fastest growing website affiliates for Fox Sports Next, and will be one of the two host of the new show.

Bryant has spent the last eight years in several roles including publishers at three different sites and covered SEC football for five years. He has resided in Jonesboro the last year to be able to bring Red Wolf fans the very best coverage of the ASU Football team.

Joining Bryant as the co-host and assistant producer of the show is former ASU alum Randy Myers.

Myers is a former student of radio/television at ASU, where he first began covering the school's sports programs in 1984 as a student intern for the former Indian Sports Network

He previously served in past as radio color analyst for ASU football in '98 & '99 seasons, also served as fill-in play-by-play announcer. for past several years for ASU men's and women's basketball. Also hosted pre-game, half-time and post-game shows for ASU Radio Network from 1998-2000.

Myers is a five time winner of Arkansas Associated Press Broadcaster's Association's Best Sports Play-by-Play award, as well as several other awards for both sports and news broadcasting.

Myers has been a diehard ASU fan since attending his first stAte basketball and football games at the age of 11 in 1974.

Myers also currently serves as a sports play-by play announcer of high school football and basketball games for Ritter Communications.

"Randy will bring a lot to our new show," Bryant said. "He has a great voice and a passion for ASU athletics. His experience in sports will definitely be an asset to the show."

AStateNation Sports Radio will continue to be a dedicated two hour show, covering just Arkansas State Athletics.

Bryant has spent the last 10 months as the Co-Host of AStateNation Sports Radio on 103.9.

"I truly appreciate the opportunity given to me by Gary Harpole and the 103.9 The Game staff," Bryant said. "This was just too good of an opportunity to pass up working for the Flag Ship Station Network of the University. It's exciting times for all ASU fans and it will be a fun ride on our new show."

According to Bryant, there will be a few changes in the new AStateNation Sports Radio Show.

"We will have a little more structure to the show," Bryant said. "We want our fans to know what to expect each day on the show. We will continue to have an all-star line of guest both in studio and over the phone."

Tune into AStateNation Sports Radio beginning Monday August 20th at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on 95.3 FM and 970 AM.
