One Alabama athlete recently garnered interest from Arkansas State, on his official visit he received the offer and decided to take advantage of a great opportunity.
Florence athlete Irving Adams took an official visit to Jonesboro this weekend, he received the offer he was looking for and committed instantly.
"I loved everything about Arkansas State," Adams told AStateNation.com. "They contacted me a short time ago and told me that they were interested in me. I'm very excited about the opportunity."
Adams, a 5-foot 11, 190-pound athlete has two offers, one from Arkansas State and one from UT Martin.
"My visit was great," Adams said. "I got to get to know a lot of the current players on the team, I got the chance to get to know the coaching staff better."
Apparently the Arkansas State coaching staff made a good impression on the Alabama defender.
"The entire coaching staff is great," Adams said. "I got the chance to meet the coaches while they were at my high school recruiting one of my teammates."
According to Adams, he is being recruited to play in the nickel package and will play a combination of safety and outside linebacker.
Adams reports that he ran a 4.39 forty at a Mississippi State camp earlier this summer.
