A-State will face the Trojans on Sept. 5 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, giving the Red Wolves two announced non-conference opponents on their 2015 schedule. ASU is also slated to host SEC foe Missouri on Sept. 12, 2015, in the second game of a home-and-home series in Jonesboro.
The Red Wolves will receive a guarantee of $1.3 million for the game.
"With its outstanding tradition and history of success, we are excited to add a program the caliber of USC to our 2015 football schedule," said Mohajir. "This will be a great opportunity for our program to be displayed in one of the largest media markets in the world. USC is very selective with their scheduling, so to be able to secure a game with them for the first time in our history is a great testament to our players, coaches and overall program."
Not only will A-State face 11-time national champion USC for the first time, it will be the first ever meeting between a Sun Belt Conference team and the Trojans as well. Although USC?has played former and future Sun Belt member Idaho eight times, it was never while the Vandals were a part of the league.
The contest will also mark the Red Wolves second all-time game against a current member of the Pac-12. A-State's only other meeting against a member of the league came in its 2012 season opener against Oregon.
Under the direction of head coach Lane Kiffin, the Trojans finished 2012 with a 7-6 overall record that included a 21-7 setback to Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl.
