Adam Kennedy was 29 of 41 with no picks and no TDs for 272 yards. He rushed for a net 75 yards on 12 carries with two of those sacks for minus 14 yards. He had an average of 6.2 yards per carry.
Comparing Auburn's box score to their game with Washington State, two things pop out. Auburn ran slightly better against A-State and passed about as effectively the biggest difference being that Auburn's longest pass play last night was nearly twice as long as the longest against Washington State, the play where Hayes pulled up lame.
Red Zone. A-State scored on three of four red zone chances but no TD's.
A-State's 29 completions were spread to 10 players.
The Run Game. Arkansas State struggled running all day. 46% of A-State's rushing yards came on four plays: Kennedy scramble for 28, Knighten outside for 17, McKissic outside for 12, and Oku between the tackles for 12.
Get your Wolves UP quickly. Thursday night A-State has a critical Sun Belt game against Troy on ESPNU. With one fewer conference game this year, a loss would put A-State in a hole with less chance to recover.
