Wickliffe, Ohio (4/9/14) – The Arkansas State women's bowling team participated in a morning practice session Wednesday at Game of Wickliffe in Wickliffe, Ohio to prepare for Thursday's seeding rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
The team practiced from 9-11 a.m. and then went through an equipment check after the conclusion of practice. During the practice the team focused on getting used to the lane patterns and worked on fundamentals. Towards the end of practice the team worked on Baker games and used several different lineups so everyone could get some work in.
"We pretty much did the same thing we always do at practice," A-State women's bowling coach Justin Kostick said. "We continued to work on our game fundamentally and make sure everyone's physical form is where it's supposed to be at."
The tournament begins Thursday morning at 10:50 a.m. (CT) with the first section of seeding matches with the second session beginning at 5:40 p.m. (CT). The teams will bowl four games in the first block and three during the second block for a total of seven games. The win-loss record from these matches will determine the seeds for Friday when the double-elimination tournament begins.
All of Thursday's action can be viewed online at www.NCAA.com. Arkansas State enters the 2014 National Championship with a record of 91-29 and is ranked first in the nation by both the NTCA Coaches Poll and NTCA Media Poll.
