Ryan Aplin spent the 2013 season working in a quality control position for Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss.
Aplin will head to Auburn to work as a graduate assistant for Gus Malzahn, replacing Kodi Burns who left for an assistant position at FCS school Samford.
Aplin's hiring should come as no surprise. In article in the Montgomery Advertiser, James Crepea reported that the Auburn coaches were hoping Nick Marshall could develop in the same way Aplin had at Arkansas State.
