Three-star receiver prospect D'erren Wilson announced Monday evening via Twitter that he had narrowed his seven FBS offers to a top three of Arkansas State, BYU, and Indiana, along with plans for a Wednesday commitment announcement.
Well, that has changed.
Wilson tweeted Tuesday morning that he no longer has plans to commit Wednesday.
"I talked to my parents and we decided to wait on me to commit and take my official visits to ALL the schools before the decision," Wilson tweeted at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
But the postponement is not the only news so far Tuesday for the 6-foot-2 1/2, 172-pound Wilson.
Just after noon, Wilson tweeted more recruiting news.
"Just received my ninth offer from North Texas!" he said.
North Texas is Wilson's eighth FBS offer, joining the aforementioned top trio, as well as Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, New Mexico State, and Toledo. His other offer is an FCS offer from Stephen F. Austin State.
Wilson caught 19 passes for 369 yards and four touchdowns, leading his team in all three categories, in 2013 playing for a run-oriented Greenville squad. He tested solidly at the Houston Nike Football Combine in early April, recording a 4.71 laser-timed 40, a 4.28 pro agility, and a 33 1/2-inch vertical leap.
